Nirvana Join Paul McCartney Onstage in Seattle
Band takes the stage for 'Cut Me Some Slack' and stays for Beatles classics
Paul McCartney's Out There tour stop in Seattle tapped deep into the local roots on Friday night when the surviving members of Nirvana joined in on the encore. Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear first took the stage at Safeco Field for "Cut Me Some Slack," the song they first united with McCartney on last year for the 12-12-12 benefit concert and Grohl's Sound City documentary. They went on to play a generous handful of Beatles favorites, including "Get Back," the Little Richard cover "Long Tall Sally," "Helter Skelter" and set-closer "The End."
